Time for something a little different…an actual active building. If you live in Albany, NY, then the “Million Dollar Staircase in the Capital Building is a must see location. This is one of the most impressive pieces of architectures I have ever seen. It is best known as the “Million Dollar Staircase”. It’s name means exactly that. When this masterpiece was built in the 1800s it cost a Million bucks. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would cost to recreate something this impressive now. The staircase features carvings of multiple presidents such as Abraham Lincoln. This a particularly tough location to shoot. The yellow lights, mixed with the rose sandstone, leads to a white balance nightmare.
